About Ben Kahrl

Ben Kahrl is a private lawyer known for creative problem solving, innovative product development, and effective litigation strategy in the agricultural and financial services industries. Ben served from 2020 to 2026 as the Senior Vice President of Legal & Regulatory Affairs of ProducePay, a digital provider of capital, market insights, and trade protection for growers of fresh produce. Prior to ProducePay, Ben was a senior lawyer at Rabobank, a global leader in agrifinance, where he assisted in structuring and implementing Rabobank's ecommerce and agtech ventures. In 25 years as a lawyer, Ben has represented various companies in the financial services industry, with an emphasis on fintech innovation. He has represented clients before the USDA, FDA, FTC, CFPB, and SEC, as well as before various state agencies and state attorneys general. He previously co-founded the national law firm now known as Maurice Wutscher LLP from 2008-2011, where he was Managing Partner of the Washington, DC office, and has been a frequent speaker on legal and regulatory issues at various trade conferences, including most recently at the American Agricultural Lawyers Association. Ben graduated summa cum laude from UCLA, and received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, whom he represented in the National Trial Competition and the Jessup Cup International Law Moot Court Competition.
